Monthly Intention Check-In: Stay on Track with Your Goals!

January 1st started our year of intention setting, commitment and accountability here at A Dancing Yogi! As we move through another month filled with growth and self-discovery, it's time for our monthly intention check-in. This is an opportunity for us to reflect upon our progress and set new intentions for the coming month.  It’s our first month in and that can sometimes be the most challenging as we navigate new schedules and finding time to fit it all in.  Consistency is key so don’t give up! For those of you who held true to your intentions… kudus to you!!! Keep up the great work! For those who feel they haven’t lived up to their standards, there’s still 11 more months to go and you can do it!  This is why we check in. What needs to change; what remains the same to accomplish what we want?

Reflecting on the Past Month:

Journaling prompts can be a powerful tool to reflect upon your journey. Here are a few prompts to guide your introspection:

- What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past month? Celebrate even the smallest victories!

- What challenges did you face, and how did you overcome them? Reflect on the lessons learned.

- How did your intentions align with your actions throughout the month? Identify any areas where you could improve.

Here are some tips to help us stay on track with our goals!

Remember that the journey towards achieving your goals is not always linear. Embrace the ups and downs, and use these tips to maintain your focus:

- Break it down: Break your goals into smaller, achievable milestones. Celebrating these milestones will motivate you to keep going.

- Find an accountability partner: Share your goals with someone who supports and encourages you. Having someone to hold you accountable provides the extra push you might need.  You have a support system here at A Dancing Yogi! Together we can keep each other accountable and achieve our goals!

- Visualization and affirmation: Visualize yourself accomplishing your goals and repeat positive affirmations daily. This practice can help manifest your desired outcomes. Try it this month; every time you step on your mat create an affirmation you can repeat throughout your practice.

Setting Next Month's Intention:

As we approach a new month filled with opportunities, it's time to set our intentions. Consider these prompts as you focus on this month’s intention

- What aspect of your practice or personal life would you like to focus on in the coming month?

- How can you incorporate more self-care and self-love into your routine?

- What steps can you take to bring more balance and harmony into your life?

Remember, intention setting is a deeply personal journey. Trust your intuition and set intentions that resonate with your heart.

Let's approach the next month with renewed enthusiasm and dedication to our goals. Together, we can uplift and support each other on this beautiful yoga journey.

So happy you got me to set intentions and I am proud to say I have stuck to them 95% of the time. On the few days I didn’t, when looking at my journal, I feel a better nights sleep would have helped me more.
